Among the Private Security Profession |
This public/private partnership between the federal government and the ASIS Foundation has been made possible by resources provided by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime (OVC).
The ASIS Foundation developed resource materials and conducted training and awareness programs that helped raise awareness of crime victims’ rights and issues, and recommended approaches to respond to crime. These initiatives were designed to improve the capacity of the private security profession to address and respond to victims' concerns in the workplace.
New Initiatives
On May 14, 2008, the ASIS Foundation, in partnership with the OVC, held a one-day workshop focused on the services provided by private security professionals to victims of crime. Read the recommendations
